Paris 16May08

Had a fantastic day yesterday... did a lot of walking. Carol (co-worker) come over the hotel (LeMeridien-Montparnasse) and we went out for some marathon site-seeing. Took the Metro to the Champs Elysee, walked to le Louvre, walked from le Louvre to the Eiffel Tower and took a cab back to the hotel. My dogs were barkin! A few sprinkles and a few claps of thunder didn't hinder us. We waited through the queues and took the elevator up to the uppermost public level of the Eiffel tower... not for the acrophobic or agoraphobic.

Did you see Winged Victory? I think you can't miss it on the way to the Mona Lisa unless they have moved things. Don't miss the Orsay - especially if you like impressionism.

Whistler's Mother is there.
